About Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee is a humanist at heart, known to be a warm and kind psychotherapist who is also strong, direct and radically genuine.  She maintains a highly ethical practice intended to create a safe place for clients to truly be themselves.


Dr. Lee has extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for anxiety and mood disorders, especially OCD and OCD spectrum disorders such as Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Trichotillomania, Skin Picking and Hoarding. She has experience treating Scrupulosity, the religious form of OCD.  She emphasizes Mindfulness Training as well as Exposures for overcoming all anxiety disorders. In addition, Habit Reversal Training (HRT) is utilized for Body Focused Repetitive Disorders. Furthermore, she is a pioneer in the collaborative treatment model for Hoarders, working together with psychiatrists, professional organizers and family members. Dr. Lee also provides culturally sensitive psychotherapy as well as incorporating spirituality if desired by the client.  She also offers training and consultation services for other psychotherapists in the area.

Dr. Lee is currently pursuing certification in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT).


Clinical Experience

Dr. Lee is currently the Director of the South Bay Psychological Center.  She has been doing CBT in private practice since 2001 beginning as a psychological assistant.  Since receiving her license in 2006, she has trained psychological assistants in CBT and worked collaboratively with other professionals. 

Dr. Lee received training at Harbor UCLA, CBT Adult Outpatient Clinic as well as at UCLA's Anxiety Disorders Clinic.  She completed an APA approved internship at the Houston VA Hospital and completed Post-Doctoral work at the CBT Center of Southern California.  .
